How Availability Works Here

We raise only a few litters a year, so there is rarely a long list to choose from. Most kittens are spoken for before they are ever advertised, which is not a sales tactic, just arithmetic: a small cattery with a waiting list does not often reach the open market.

Colors vary litter to litter. Blue is the color most people picture when they think of the breed, but lilac, cream, black, chocolate and colorpoint all appear. If you have your heart set on one specific color and sex, expect to wait longer than someone who is flexible.

No kitten is listed as ready before it genuinely is. Dates on this page are estimates until the kitten passes its final vet check at around twelve weeks.

Choosing Between Kittens

Most people arrive with a color in mind and leave having chosen on temperament instead. Within a single litter you will usually find one kitten who investigates everything first, one who hangs back and watches, and two or three in between. That difference will shape your next fifteen years far more than coat color will.

We spend a lot of time with each litter and we will tell you honestly which kitten we think suits your household, even when that is not the one you pointed at. A confident kitten is a good match for a busy home with children; a watchful one often does better with a quieter household or an older couple.

If you are not sure, ask. We would rather spend an hour on the phone than have a kitten come back in six months.
